Partners that support offenders, prisoners, their families and our communities

We have partnered with several groups that help support prisoners, offenders, their families and and the community as a whole. As well as running their own businesses, many of these partners have helped us by contributing and supporting some of our very successful programs.

Offenders Aid and Rehabilitation Services SA

OARS SA Community Transitions is a non-government crime protection authority who have provided high quality professional services and support to people who have offended and their families for over 130 years. Their role is to strengthen communities to reduce crime and its impact.

We have worked with OARS SA on many initiatives including the Integrated Housing Exits Program.

Department for Communities and Social Inclusion

The department works closely with other government agencies including the Department for Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) Exceptional Needs Unit (ENU).

This is to assist in identifying appropriate accommodation and support services for offenders with complex needs who are exiting the custodial environment.

The department also regularly attends the ENU Management Assessment Service case conferences; and Management Assessment Panels to provide expertise during the development and maintenance of management plans for offenders with co-morbidity and complex needs prior to, and following their transition to the community.

Housing SA

Housing SA is part of the Department for Communities and Social Inclusion and administer services for the South Australian Housing Trust.

We work closely with HousingSA to provide housing advice to prisoners and offenders  including affordable housing options, support and crisis advice and accommodation.
