Umpire Program

The Umpire Program is an initiative between the Ch9AFL Umpires and the Adelaide Pre-Release centre where prisoners learn how to umpire for Australian Football League Games.

The prisoners can learn to be either boundary, field or goal umpires.

This is a new reintegration program which prepares and equips offenders with skills and confidence for a successful transition back to the community prior to their release. Volunteers assist with transporting offenders to training sessions during the week and games on weekends.
